Otta's take

Aiimi was founded to help businesses manage their information more intuitively, using smarter technology and AI. Since its inception in 2007, Aiimi has grown considerably in size. It now enjoys a reputation as one of the most innovative names in the data and information market.

The company's edge comes from the fact that it has designed its solutions with a wide range of clients in mind. Its products are designed to allow everyone from employees to Chief Data Officers to manage their information more efficiently and effectively. Aiimi's solutions cover information stored in the cloud, network drives and long-forgotten folders.

Its unique InsightMaker IP offers lightning-fast response times that allow its customers to securely search across millions of structured and unstructured data sets. This means customers can locate important information that was previously hidden or at risk of a data breach.

Aiimi's clients include Jaguar Land Rover, Anglian Water and Rolls-Royce, and in 2021, the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) regulatory body selected Aiimi to deliver its enterprise search and discovery solution. The company's combination of experienced expert consultants and industry-leading technology and AI has given Aiimi a clear edge within the high-value data and information market.

This is something that everyone is aware of at Aiimi and is very important to the senior management. There are lunchtime sessions that focus on mental wellbeing, and management is very supportive.

The vetting process for being hired by Aiimi is pretty in depth. They want to know that you'll fit in as a member of the team, and as a result you get people with strong morals, a great work ethic and hugely diverse interests and backgrounds. It makes for a really respectful environment.

We have an entire 'shout outs' channel where anyone can provide feedback about a colleague. It can be as small as being helpful that day to as big as completing a project. It helps keep the entire organisation aware of what everyone's up to.

Aiimi is extremely generous when it comes to it's people's wellbeing. We have health plans, free mental health services, mental health first aiders, and an open culture of talking about sensitive topics. If you need time off for whatever reason, you will be supported throughout. There's also a big focus on taking your annual leave, checking in with your team and being able to voice any concerns. It's a very safe and kind environment.

The company has a really strong focus on employee wellbeing and mental health. They care deeply about making sure employees are happy and healthy, and provide a number of benefits to help support this. You get generous holiday, healthcare benefits, access to mental health support, they have trained mental health first aiders, and they genuinely care enough to check-in on employees and make sure they are doing ok. There are lots of opportunities to learn new skills and to work with different areas of the business, and they are flexible to different working needs.

The benefits that Aiimi provides are really really good. We can buy extra days holiday each year, we get a really good pension contribution, they provided us with £1000 to use to 'kit out' our home office as we are all working from home during Covid, along with paying for our phone and internet bills at home. You get Bupa healthcare cover, and mental health assistance, and they have groups within the business setup specifically to support charities, to support environmental issues, and to support employee diversity. Just to top off all the things listed above, they also send me random gifts - I have only been with the company 7 or 8 months so far and I have already received a t-shirt, a sweatshirt, socks, a jigsaw, a candle, a parker pen and notebook, a personalised hand-sanitiser for covid, chocolates, a popcorn maker with kernels and toppings, a bottle of Bollinger, a £50 restaurant voucher, a £100 amazon voucher, and probably more things that I have forgotten!

Perks

Mar 2021

Aiimi is a very open and honest company. We have company meetings every month where the CEO will talk to the company about how we are doing and what changes are happening. I always get the impression that he is telling us everything, even when the news isn't ideal, it never feels like there is a hidden message or things secretly happening in the background. He makes an effort to be available to speak to and tries to have a call with all new employees so he has a chance to meet them. The entire management structure seems very open and honest, and the culture makes it acceptable to question things and to push back when we are not happy, and we are always listened to.

Aiimi has an internal initiative that focuses in on mental wellbeing in the workplace and in our day to day lives. 16 team member were trained in Mental Health First Aid last year and the plan is to add 16 more colleagues each year. We also have access to 24/7 professional counselling and support via Health Assured, with an aim to removing any barriers to seeking help. There are also regular training sessions that focus on areas such as stress and anxiety, delivered either by an internal team member with the relevant experience or an external speaker. Our physical health is also looked after as we have access to a cycle to work scheme and can expense the cost of personnel training sessions in line with our wellbeing policy.

We are all encouraged to take an active part in our objective setting, which allows us to highlight areas of growth we would like to work towards. We also use 360 peers reviews to support our professional development. As a company, training and upskilling is very important to the management team. I have personally been able to start a course that I had always wanted to do, in HR, and have the full support of my manager in completing this.

We live and breath DE&I with around 10% of the company actively participating in the internal initiative to drive our diversity and inclusion. We do this with continual learning and education, with monthly sessions run covering areas such as Diversity, Unconscious bias training and bringing in external speakers to support our learning.
