With more of people's lives spent online, finding ways to make online payments and identity easier, more secure and private has become increasingly important. This is what Citizen are setting out to do. The Open banking platform provides companies with tools to streamline every aspect of their payment operations (including payment acceptance, payouts and reconciliation of funds).
Since being founded, the company has become one of the first businesses licensed to provide payments and identity services using Open Banking. They have now grown a customer base across Europe, with clients including Wonderful, Metro, and Capital.com, and partners such as Novibet.
As well as being backed by leading investors (e.g Metavallon VC, SGH Capital, and Fin VC), the company's founder - James Sanville- is extremely experienced in this space as ex-CTO of Worldpay.
