Sam Franklin

CEO of Otta

As the world turns digital, the demand for people with coding skills has never been greater. Codecademy has enabled more than 50 million people across 190 countries to learn to code through its online learning platform which puts the focus on interactivity.

Codecademy is the leading platform for technical skills, but the $100 billion EdTech market is very lucrative and bursting with competition, including LinkedIn Learning, Udacity, and Udemy.

In 2022, Skillsoft finalized its acquisition of Codecademy, which is allowing the company to push its platform to Skillsoft's huge customer base, which includes 75% of Fortune 1000 companies. Together, the platforms serve a base of 85 million customers and counting.
