Otta's take

CTO of Otta

Cybus is positioning itself at the centre of the fourth industrial revolution by building IoT (Internet of Things) architecture to enable the digitization of industrial manufacturing. The company’s flagship offering, Cybus Connectware, is designed to accelerate companies’ transitions from traditional factories to smart factories.

Industry 4.0’s emergence in the last few years has cast a spotlight on the concept of The Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) – both in terms of opportunities and obstacles. While IoT-enabled automation leads to improved productivity and better safety, there’s still a pressing need for high standard, industry-specific IoT solutions. It’s this bridge that Cybus is trying to gap.

That one of its main investors is PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) is telling, as the multinational offers smart factory deployment services itself. While there’s little to suggest an imminent acquisition, Cybus may well be able to tap into PwC’s global customer network, while PwC will be able to leverage the startups industry expertise and tech solutions.

Benefits

  • At Cybus you only meet people who really want to make a difference. Fast pace and flexibility shouldn’t make you sweat – our goals are too big for slow walkers.
  • Learning and growing – Obviously! We are in a new and unknown market, “discovering new things” is our passion.
  • Remote work? We can do that, too. Depending on the situation and your location, we still ensure to have a few days of face to face time with colleagues.
  • If you work a lot, you also need to relax and take time for yourself. We treat ourselves to 30 days’ annual leave for this purpose and a additional one-time vacation allowance of a max. 20 days after 5 years of employment (or 10 days after 3 years or 15 after 4, respectively).
  • We are an IT company. The usual goodies like fruit, excellent coffee and fun team events go without saying.
  • Your personal work-life balance is important to us: we expect your full commitment during working hours, but also respect your personal free time. We strive to utilize our energy sustainably.

Company values

  • Independence – There are no limits in digitization: Independence is our credo. With Cybus, you realize every project – independently and without dependencies on manufacturers, technologies or configurations
  • Collaboration – With OT/IT collaboration, a strong partner ecosystem and an open mindset, Cybus promotes integrated solutions, scalable projects and ensures the future viability of the industry
  • Creativity – Whether you’re a coding artist or an engineer, innovation comes from creativity. That’s why Cybus’ Smart Factory solutions encourage creative and experimental ways of working without typical IT or OT barriers
  • Competence – Experts need expert solutions: With many years of practical experience, our IT, Development and Customer Success experts guarantee success for our customers
