DeepMind started out in 2010 working on artificial intelligence by teaching it how to play old games from the seventies and eighties. Through cognitive learning it soon became an expert in pong and space invaders.
DeepMind have come a long way in ten years and can now boast discovering how to identify eye disease faster and more accurately than doctors and deeply understanding protein molecules to help treat aggressive diseases.
They're responsible for bringing artificial intelligence into the spotlight and were the first major acquisition ever in this space when they were acquired by Google in 2014.
