Descope offers an authentication and user management platform that enables developers to add passwordless authentication and user management capabilities to their B2C and B2B apps.

Whilst the importance of good security is obvious, passwords have begun to represent one of the worst parts of the user experience. Whether that be the time it ends up occupying, or recent accounts of some of the largest online free password managers experiencing hacking and security issues. Descope, therefore, offers an alternative option and takes charge of authentication so app developers can instead focus on business-critical tasks.

Whilst capital is currently harder to come by for some start-ups, Descope recently announced seed funding that is to be used to grow its product capabilities, invest in research and support open source initiatives around authentication, authorization and user management.
