If retail doesn’t change, the world around us will only see increased mountains of waste, fewer choices, less originality, and lower quality materials. Everpress is focused on building a fashion marketplace with sustainability at its core.

The company offers a curated emporium of original designs with the tools to manufacture, promote, sell and distribute original creations as an alternative to the wastefulness of conventional retail. For example, Everpress uses pre-order sales where it manufactures the exact amount pre-ordered on its site.

It's difficult to stand out in the fashion space as there is a lot of competition from other companies that sell direct. It will be important for Everpress to lean in to what differentiates it and turn it into a competitive advantage.

I've learned so much since joining Everpress a year ago. Since I've started as a developer here I've had countless opportunities to own work and projects to see them from the idea stage to being live on our platform. I've been given the freedom to start experiments which go live to 50% of users to test the effect on existing metrics and have had visibility across different parts of the business which I haven't worked before.

I love that I can express an opinion or idea at Everpress and be taken seriously. As a diverse member of the tech community I've had a really positive experience at Everpress, we listen to each member of the team and workshop together in a way that includes all voices. Myself and other members of the team have had ideas which have been valued and are now live on our website and I have regular meetings to see if there are any experiments we could run or ideas I have which I really value at Everpress. I have learned a lot from those around me at Everpress.

There is a big focus in Everpress to create a diverse product and work force. We have workshops run by the diversity team which I always learn a lot from and it's great to see other people from within the company are open minded to these sessions and take them on board. I haven't been at other start ups which have such a concentration on diversity from within the company. Also as a diverse member of the engineering team I think it's really important for the development team to reflect the product we would like to build for everyone.
