I joined Fidel API last year and feel so grateful to be part of the team. It's been exciting to be part of the fast growth in the company and to work with such smart, fun, and thoughtful team members. The work culture has a great balance between flexibility and being highly ambitious!

People are given a lot of room to get their work done during the day, while also being able to be very collaborative. I've always felt encouraged to share my ideas.

There is always an option to voice your opinion at Fidel. The best part is that things don't go into a black box. Instead, the management team is transparent about the feedback comes in and what they are / are not going to do about it.

There is a focus on wellbeing that permeates the culture at Fidel. The CEO constantly talks about mental health and how we need to support and look out for one another. Fidel also gives a free Headspace membership to all employees and the company has an official mental health policy.

Starting at a company remotely during a pandemic is really rough. Luckily, the Fidel team made me feel welcome on day 1. The team was very open to have a virtual coffee, talk about their jobs, but also get to know one another. The weekly game nights and happy hours also really helped me get to know everyone. There also were a lot of resources to help me understand the industry and the company, and including the Fidel Bible.

Everyone is very much aligned on working towards the same goal: people take pride in their work ownership and it's an amazing feeling to be part of a passionate, innovative and vibrant team.

Open communications are essential to any team that wants to operate effectively and symbiotically. Keeping the communication channels open and clear is one of the key priorities for everyone involved, from senior leadership to part time employees.

One of the main benefits of working at Fidel for me personally is the sheer diversity of the team. Working across different time zones and cultures might be challenging for others, but at Fidel the team has turned it into a strength. You can't help but feel as part of a very large international family.

When I joined Fidel, I didn't know about Cypress Testing as a framework or had prior experience in banking, and yet, onboarding and mentoring from the whole team, helped with my experience on both fronts. Also, there is a lot of space for learning and proposing new solutions for managers and team.

My manager is very supportive. We constantly talk in 1:1 and how things are going outside of work. Also, she cares about my career and state of mind. As I had never had this experience before, it feels very comforting to have someone looking out for my well-being.

Great work is always celebrated. If it is for a small release or a big one, our efforts are always praised and it is what keeps us moving.

Fidel allows members autonomy in a lot of different ways. It isn't just about taking the odd day to work from home. You can manage your own hours and work from home as and when you need to, which empowers me to produce my best work and allows me to maintain a really healthy work/life balance

The transparency of Fidel's leadership is unlike any I've come across. Whether it's during the weekly all-hands meeting or a one-on-one session, you always know you're able to ask honest questions and receive honest answers at the highest level. It helps us maintain a clear vision and understand our direction as a company and team.

Fidel hires people based on what they can do, not who they are. That felt clear from my hiring stage, through to onboarding. It's also a place where I felt like my voice could be heard, in both anonymous and direct settings. We're all given numerous opportunities to offer feedback throughout a quarter, which feeds into being a diverse company where we're all being listened to.

At Fidel, this comes from the top. Our senior leadership makes a pro-active effort to me honest and open with the team, no matter if the topic is delicate or not - we aim for transparency. As this comes from the top, really empowers everyone else to do the same - it is a true example of "leading by example".

The company really takes care for people. Especially during these time, we have made a series of initiatives to make sure people are well, have the resources to work well from home, can have budgets for wellness matters and are empowered much more than ever to take time off. I feel very supported by the Team!
