Otta's take

COO of Otta

Graze is the leading healthy snacking brand in the UK, offering a range of nuts, trail mixes, cereal bars and other wholesome alternatives to mainstream snacking option. Founded in 2008 as an internet-based direct-to-consumer customisable snack-box delivery service, it continues to be sold online and in over 30,000 retailers in the UK, including Sainsbury’s, Boots, WH Smith and Tesco, as well as US outlets Target, Walgreens and 7-Eleven.

Graze presents itself as a multichannel brand - offering a combination of personalisation, convenience and nutrition in its snacks through a technology-led approach. It also holds strong environmental values, with commitments to sustainable packaging, carbon neutrality, waste reduction and responsible sourcing. In 2021, Graze became a B Corp brand for its commitment to healthier snacks and a healthier planet.

The online selling of snacks was forward-thinking when Graze first started, with few other food and beverage companies doing so. Technology remains at the centre of the business, and it has set up the Graze labs as a hub for software and data innovation to take technology to new areas of the organisation.

From its pledge to go carbon neutral by 2030, to the annual volunteering day every employee gets, Graze’s focus is on new ideas - and making them count - with the brand challenging itself to continue to imagine better ways of doing things right for people and the planet.

Benefits

  • A nice place to work - Whether it’s the amazing views from the office, the collaborative open spaces and quiet comfy corners, or the friendly people that fill them, we’re proud to say this is a great place to work. And that’s the case whether we’re actually in the office or socialising.
  • Even more food - You can help yourself to breakfast from our kitchens each day, as well as all the tea you could ask for and great coffee for everyone in both our offices. In Hayes, you get lunch too as there’s not many eateries around. Lunchtime brings everyone together, as do our graze events which normally revolve around food!
  • All round health - We offer private health insurance to everyone who joins us, as well as a load of activities that help you look after yourself, like yoga and HIIT classes, touch rugby and 5-a-side football. We also have a masseuse set up camp in our Kingston office every fortnight
  • Time off - Holiday is important, and whether you spend it relaxing on a beach or climbing a mountain, we give you 25 days a year (in addition to bank holidays) and want you to use it. We also offer one volunteering day and one health day!
  • Maternity, paternity & adoption leave - Once you’ve been with us for a year, you’ll be eligible to take paid leave if a new child comes into your life. We’ve also got a great flexible working policy for all staff
  • Snacks. Everywhere - Wherever you go at graze there are snacks, literally baskets and baskets of them everywhere. You also get free graze boxes to send to your friends and family, and our product team often hold tasting sessions so you can be the first to try anything new.
