Technological innovation is growing exponentially, but products resulting from this often feel unnatural and inhuman. Whilst young people are often enthusiastic about such changes, older audiences can be left feeling alienated and confused. Humane designs futuristic hardware and software services that are geared toward feeling natural to the human experience, aiming to innovate on current technology whilst keeping things familiar and, well, humane.
The company is led by ex-Apple technology executives and is currently secretive about the products it is working on. However, Humane has stated that its current product focus lies in a next-generation handheld smart device, and it has filed patents for a wearable multimedia device with a laser projection system, and a fertility and hormonal cycle tracker.
Despite not yet officially announcing or releasing a product, Humane has won the support of financial backers, raising a large amount of capital and has made partnerships with major players Microsoft and OpenAI. The company is hiring extensively in all areas of software and hardware engineering, and to build towards an official product launch in the future.
