Typically most drivers in America don’t shop around before renewing their car insurance policies, mainly due to the difficulty of using insurance comparison sites. Jerry was founded to change this with an AI-powered comparison service requiring only a bare minimum of personal details to search and close an insurance contract. Initially focusing only on insurance comparison, the company has also expanded into auto refinancing.
Jerry faces competition in the insurance comparison space against Caribu, CoverHound, Insurify but is unique in providing a completely automated experience. It is also alone in being able to provide services in all aspects of car ownership including repairs and maintenance, as opposed to the more narrow focus of other marketplaces. These advantages have led to Jerry being the most downloaded and top-rated app in its category.
Jerry has already grown to become the top broker for several major insurance carriers in the US and is eyeing further expansion into more financial services surrounding the $250 billion US auto insurance industry. As it continues to surpass its competitors in accuracy, range of services and customer experience, it is very well-positioned for further growth.
