Sam Franklin

CEO of Otta

Kin + Carta is a global consulting firm that aims to support companies in their journey of becoming digital businesses by creating products, platforms, and experiences that help them achieve this purpose.

The company differentiates itself through its combination of strategic consulting, software engineering, and data expertise which it leverages to deliver maximum value to clients. What's more, the company is committed to making the world a better place for future generations - its Americas division has already become a Certified B Corporation which proves that the company is on the right track.

Kin + Carta currently has two priorities: boosting its current capabilities and geographical expansion. It has already completed a number of investments as part of this initiative, including acquiring Cascade, to improve the firm’s data capability and has set up new offices in Chicago. It has also sold its healthcare communications business, Hive, in order to continue its focus on the DX market and was subject to a buyout by Apex Partners in October 2023 which will boost its capital even more.

Diversity & Inclusion at Kin + Carta

Shereen Barros (IDEA Programme Manager)

  • It’s our global mission to make life better for everyone, but we know that real change doesn’t happen overnight. It happens when we commit as a collective to becoming a force for good. It happens when we resolve to break down systemic racism and structural inequality in both ourselves and the world around us. It happens with IDEA
  • We have dedicated affinity groups for under represented and marginalised individuals to connect with others like them. For example; LGBTIQA+, Black + Kin, Women's Group and Neurodivergence Social groups.
  • We run regular workshops for all of our Kin to help raise awareness and education on important diversity & inclusion topics.
