We have an inclusion committee at Moneybox which is open to all employees regardless of their background or what team they are in. The inclusion committee meets once per quarter to discuss various diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives going on across the company. It's an open forum where every idea is respected.

We have regular lunch and learn sessions with external guest speakers. This year we have had sessions on LGBTQIA+ history, Neurodiversity and Mental Health Awareness. These sessions are open to everyone at Moneybox!

We work hard to promote, embody and celebrate our ALOT Values; Action, Learning, Open-Minded, Team. We have ALOT Awards, where everyone in the company is able to nominate their colleagues for showing one of the values in action. We also do bi-weekly 'Thank Moneybox It's Friday' shoutouts in a dedicated slack channel, which is always a nice way to end the week!

It's clear that the industry incumbents are not effectively serving everyone in the UK who would benefit from saving and investing. It's also socially and culturally rife with assumptions and perceived barriers to entry. I genuinely believe the work I do each day is contributing towards Moneybox's aim to change this and open up saving and investing to everyone. To be doing this during such a turbulent time globally where financial security is even more essential is very rewarding and I hope will help many people enjoy better futures.

I have never worked with a more intelligent bunch than those at Moneybox. Everyone from the Co-Founders to the newest joiner is clearly very switched on but also varied in styles of thinking and approaching things. The speed with which we're able to discuss new ideas in depth and target the fundamental conceptual core of the customer need and journey is pretty exciting. Not only does this make me feel like I'm challenged and stretched daily, it means some of the best solutions to problems are coming from people who aren't burdened by legacy thinking but are tackling things from a new angle quickly and ably. Frankly, it also makes things incredibly fun!

Overall, I've been able to focus on my goals and I've always felt very supported to grow in my role.

I've been asked for feedback from different teams about using the systems we have and it's been great to have my feedback heard and see some changes implemented as a result. I've felt that any view I've had (about the best way to go about things or even suggestions to change some messaging we send to customers) has been listened to and taken onboard by management and colleagues alike. It is genuinely a very collaborative environment where feedback is highly welcomed.

The culture committee, inclusion committee, and management, in general, have done so many things to make sure we're all getting on well at home and we're happy, from sending gifts to making slack channels where our hard work is acknowledged to educating people about using pronouns on slack, I've felt that they have been very proactive in making sure its a great and safe place to work.

The culture at Moneybox is unlike anything else. From communicating via GIFs and emojis, to being sent goodies by the company every month for the hard work we put in, there are so many benefits to working here. I never feel scared or nervous to approach someone or ask them a question because everyone is likeminded and incredibly approachable. The team vibe is unlike I've ever experienced before.

My current manager is an incredibly hilarious, yet supportive person that I can go to about anything. Since joining Moneybox I've been introduced to a tonne of initiatives to provide education in order to do my role as well as possible. From programs to help with knowledge around finance to learning about how other teams operate and the work they're doing, to the bi-monthly 'UX Product School' - there's a real culture around learning and furthering knowledge.

From day one I was given clear goals and targets in order to help my career and personal progression. You always feel like you're working towards a tangible goal and it's a really encouraging and motivating way to feel like you're moving forward.

I empathise a lot with the needs and pain points that a lot of Moneybox customers face. Being able to provide tools, some form of education and encouragement to individuals finding their way through financial uncertainty is an amazing thing, and it makes you want to produce the best product possible to enable it. Definitely the most meaningful work I've personally done in my career so far.

At Moneybox we recognise great work in several ways. Every fortnight we have a public slack channel to thank other colleagues for their achievements and help based on the company values, which is then celebrated by everyone else. We also each quarter have an award process where we can nominate colleagues, we then read out our winners and commended colleagues within the staff meeting (everyone is also sent their nominations). The winners before lockdown would get treated to an extra lunch at a place they select and in this remote world they still get prizes from the company.

I am passionate about helping people with their money and with Moneybox you have a whole company who are aligned with helping people from their first £1 saved or invested all the way through to saving for retirement, something we barely think about!

I think you can judge a company by how they have treated their employees during the pandemic and Moneybox truly has done everything they can to make sure we are OK and kept the culture alive. We have a culture committee who help keep us all interacting, the company sends out monthly goodies which you can choose from a selection (from brownies to plants), fortnightly deliveroo and fun things to keep us going with our monthly meetings. We also had a budget to buy things that would help us keep positive and productive, and they have made sure we are comfortable at home with a further budget for office equipment (and I write this on a new more comfortable chair!). I'm not sure what more they could do, it really is all appreciated.

Moneybox has been introducing new products and doing enhancements in the existing ones this last yera to make it customer friendly, it amazed me to see the dedication and collaboration of so many different teams working together throughout the lockdown without a bump. Everyone is working towards the same goal and available to help

When I joined Moneybox, I was very new to the technology being used here. I was given an opportunity to learn and implement and it worked out so well for me. I have been teaching the same to the whole team now since my 3rd month of joining. I was also named 'Learning' role model in the team

Like I mentioned earlier, I learnt a lot in my first 6 months and was appreciated for it in the team. At Moneybox, we do quarterly ALOT shoutouts - ACTION,LEARNING, OPEN MINDED and TEAM. People from all the teams nominate their colleagues who have these qualities in them. I was awarded in the last quarter :)

As Moneybox is constantly growing and evolving, there are always new things to learn about. Everyone is very quick to learn and quick to give you opportunities to learn. New ideas are presented at company-level so everybody knows what is going on all the time!

Moneybox aims to help a generation save and invest in their future, with 4 clear missions to save for. Each account is aligned to a particular mission, and now the company and teams within it are becoming dynamic to those missions too.

I have only worked at Moneybox for a few months and had to onboard remotely, but in spite of this I have settled in better than I could have imagined! My team gave me such a great welcome, making me feel supported while also giving me the freedom to learn in a way which suited me, and since then my ideas have been valued and acted on. The team is also incredibly fun and an all-round pleasure to work with.

Regular meetings with the Compliance Team has not only helped me improve my work with AML but has developed my understanding of the wider compliance framework to which I contribute. Sharing this knowledge and continually learning is highly motivating and interesting. Moreover, Moneybox's overall mission to help people save for their future is at the heart of everything we do and contributing towards this during the particularly difficult economic situation we are experiencing is truly rewarding.

Although I am very new, my ideas and questions have promoted process reviews and sparked interesting conversations. Feeling like I have a voice and can create change so early on in my time at Moneybox shows how much every team member is valued and proves that the company truly embraces it's values.

The work is challenging mentally and I feel it helps me elevate my state of thinking to try to solve complex issues.

There's never a full moment in our team! We're constantly pushing the limits on everything we do and get stuck into some really amazing projects. For me, one of my most favourite things I've worked on at Moneybox so far is the latest television ad and supporting, marketing creative. The fact I've even got to work on an advert that will be seen by millions of people at home in their living rooms is hard to believe!

I joined the company completely remotely. And there has not been a moment where I have not felt welcome, happy to be apart of the company and a part of my team. The company culture and care towards their employees is excellent and continuously improves. With continuous efforts to make sure everyone has all the things they need to be productive and feel that they aren't on their own back at their houses. In no time I got to feel like I was a part of the company and the vision we are after and not a stranger.
