Teams within Perlego are given a large amount of autonomy when it comes to building solutions, everyone's opinions and input is valued regardless of seniority. It's up to the teams to architect and suggest solutions to the higher ups which then gets tweaked and approved, rather than the other way around which I've found to be the case in previous companies.

Perlego highly values culture, everyone working at the company is very friendly and approachable. Impromptu socials are organised fairly often between employees and organised company wide socials take place too. There's a lot of diversity within Perlego and everyone gets along really well

I've joined Perlego right after graduating from University as I was eager to apply what I had learnt there to the working world, and my experience at Perlego was above my expectations already from the start. I was given a lot of responsibility from the beginning meaning that I was continuously learning by doing and I had the opportunity to work on many different tasks which offered more chances to develop new and different skills and knowledge.

One of the greatest things about Perlego is the balance between a friendly environment, where your colleagues are not just colleagues but people you enjoy spending time with, and a group of extremely motivated and hard working people. My manager is really great! He cares a lot about my development and when I first joined has dedicated a lot of time to helping me grow. Now he is giving me much more autonomy but he is always available to support and give constructive feedback. He also cares a lot about everyone in the team on a personal level and like to be relationships that go beyond just work

I first joined as a BD intern with lots of things to learn. In less than a year I felt my learning curve was just going up. Since the start, I was given a lot ownership to lead projects and learn by doing but I was also given the space to seek for help when I needed it. Despite being in the business development team, I learnt a lot about marketing, sales, content and operations.

Personally, I've always considered work as something I need to enjoy and believe in. With Perlego this is exactly how I feel. Firstly, I feel a connection to the company's mission: Making education accessible to all. Secondly, the work itself is challenging and that keeps me always motivated as I am always learning something new. Finally, the people! Everyone in the team is incredibly friendly and always willing to help, great energy which makes coming to work fun!

Probably what I miss the most from the office is being around the people. At Perlego, I don't feel as an employee x, I truly feel part of the "family" and part of the mission. Everyone is incredibly friendly, always willing to help when it's needed. We love to organise activities outside work to get to know each other and have fun also outside of work. I am happy to say, when I wake up I am actually happy to go to work, it's not something dreadful (and I think the people have a big impact on this.)

Perlego has gone from strength to strength in the last few years, enjoying significant growth on all levels. Even having only been at the company for 4 months, I am currently in the process of setting up a new department as Perlego recognised my skillset and provided me an opportunity to grow. My on-boarding involved meeting all the heads of department which gave me insights into all areas of the company. We also do weekly all-hands meetings, I join in on bi-weekly sprints and we do monthly catch-ups to ensure everyone in the company is aligned. We also have a very flat hierarchy, so everyone can learn from each other.

We have our 4 central values which we often give our recognition awards to celebrate those who have made significant achievements in these areas and are incorporated into our company-wide strategy.

As we are doing something truly disruptive in the market, we are all passionate about our deliverance and thrive off being mission-led.
