Prolific is a marketplace for finding research and survey participants on demand, that serves academic researchers, market researchers and businesses who want to train or evaluate their AIs. Users simply select the demographics of their ideal audience, and the platform sources suitable participants for them to target.

Prolific was started when the founders, who were both doing PhDs at the time, couldn't find participants for their research projects. They weren't satisfied with the quality they got from current products on the market, so created Prolific as a means to source their own participants to survey.

Now trusted by over 3000 world-renowned organizations - including the likes of Google, Cancer Research UK and Stanford University - it is clear that the founders were not the only ones facing this issue. Prolific is well-funded and growing quickly, with a long roadmap that suggests ambitious plans for the future.

We are actively encouraged to discuss and prioritise our well-being in our teams and as a wider company. We push the envelope about what should be expected from online research, and prioritise things like data quality and fair renumeration. Self-learning and development has always been encouraged but we also have a highly-experienced team of engineers to learn from. However, under the auspices of our wonderful (female) CEO, we've continual hired purposefully for diversity: Actively seeking out women and BAME employees in order to redress the balance.
