Working on a disruptive product in a fast moving industry is extremely challenging but it's also extremely rewarding. Banking industry is broken. I experienced it first hand in my work and personal life. Solving this problem is not easy. But here at Revolut, we are tackling this challenge head on. As a product owner, I am super excited about working on problems that truly matter and that add value to millions of people worldwide.

When I joined Revolut in Q1 2020, I had very little understanding about the banking industry. With the help of my colleagues and the great onboarding process, I was able to pick up the foundations of banking, global payment routing and transaction processing within a matter of weeks. Fast forward 10 months and I am starting to understand the underlying wiring of global money infrastructure. Learning opportunities at Revolut have been incredible.

The best part of Revolut journey for me has been working with my team. As a product owner, I really enjoy working closely with developers and designers. It is especially great when everyone of them is proud of their craft but humble in their collaboration with others. Current experience has made me realise that true tech masters have nothing to prove and, thus, don't entertain their ego. They simply focus on building great products together. I love it.

Definitely the most challenging and interesting projects that I have worked on throughout my career! Always pushing to be the best, get the very best out of you and never settle for second best, standards are very high as you might expect.

Everyone at Revolut is very intelligent, very rarely find someone that is not. Lots of teaching/cross collaboration etc etc definitely helps to grow.

No decisions made without data! Everyone in the company expected to have at least basic SQL skills, very cool approach for tackling problems.

Revolut is such a fast growing company that there will always be new opportunities to learn something new for everyone at every stage of their careers.

At Revolut we do not waste time and get things done. This means that all teams are fully mobilised and help each other to deliver best products and outcomes for customers.

Even though the pandemic has slowed down many businesses for obvious reasons, Revolut stayed on top of its projects and many new products / features and expansions were delivered during these uncertain times.

Revolut gives challenges that are unique and hasn’t been solved often in the Industry. The diverse customer base of Revolut gives challenges that are at times specific to a specific region or customer base but could potentially be applicable to other markets as well .

Each day is a new learning experience with Revolut. As your scope of ownership is much wider than most of the companies , you will have to interact with multiple stakeholders across the company. Further Revolut , actively pushes for new markets and features which gives a great learning opportunity as well.

My colleagues at Revolut are super smart and intelligent. They constantly pushes me to to new technologies, problem solving approaches, and practices.

It's always quite busy but the team here are very hard working so manage to get everything done> Saying this people will still make time to check in with and help colleagues. It's very appreciated, especially as it takes some time to learn how to do everything as I joined remotely

I joined the team here recently but during the pandemic so the entire onboarding process was virtual but there were lots of virtual presentations for new joiners which was useful. We have regular team meetings to stay up to date which helps keep us all on track and means we get to engage socially too instead of just sending messages and emails. There is lots of information to take in when I first joined but I got used to it quite quickly as I kept detailed notes of everything I needed to know so I could go back and look.

We have access to a range of data so which I can use to support ideas or decisions that I need to make. It's very helpful to have all this information at hand

This is the first company I've joined where I feel intellectually challenged and satisfied. There is no limit to how creative and innovative I can be. If anything, my manager often challenges me with a higher target so I have to figure out how to get things done.

We agree on targets with our managers quarterly, and how we get there is entirely up to us. My manager has given me complete freedom in the 'how', which speaks a lot about the trust he has in me.

The pandemic has hit everyone hard - especially in our personal lives (at least for mine, it has). But our progress and productivity hasn't slowed down. In fact, there are new product and feature launches all the time, all across the world. Many business and teams have crumbled during this time, but Revolut has remained relentless. There is a fighting spirit in every team and we're really all just determined to get things going - and I really appreciate that vibe.
