This has only been accelerated in recent years, with subscription-based companies in the S&P 500 growing 7x faster than non-subscription models, and demand soaring. With brands looking to experiment with more engaging, flexible models, products like those offered by Smartrr are seeing increasing demand.

Smartrr offers a competitive selection of features, including no-code subscription billing, member engagement tools, business analytics, and seamless checkout. This has enabled it to compete with startups such as UpScribe and Skio offer similar services for direct-to-consumer brands, and subscription management giant ReCharge Payments.

The company's early 2023 Series A funding will help it further develop what is now the most advanced subscription technology within the Shopify ecosystem. With more merchants pivoting to online sales through sites like Shopify, there is great potential for accelerated growth.
