Titan’s retail investment management platform is targeted at everyday investors, particularly millennials, who want to manage a portfolio without the heavy capital outlay traditionally demanded.
Its software analyses the holdings of large hedge funds and determines the top 20 stocks before investing the user’s funds in them in fractional shares. It allows users to invest as little as $1,000 and charges a small fee on assets.
Comparisons with Robinhood are warranted, but the key difference is how Titan allows users access to individual stocks as well as managed portfolios. It also goes further in that it compiles key market information in the form of reports, videos and notifications, rather than leaving the user to educate themselves on potential investment choices.
Given the growing distrust the millennial generation has in legacy finance institutions, the time is ripe for companies like Titan to help them gain access to wealth. The market seems to agree: Titan is now managing over $750 million in assets.
