To democratize access to financial opportunity.

CTO of Otta
dYdX offers a decentralized cryptocurrency exchange platform, which runs on audited smart contracts on Ethereum. It offers Perpetual, Margin and Spot trading as well as borrowing and lending features on Ethereum.
Having been launched in 2017 by former Coinbase and Uber engineer Antonio Juliano, the company's daily volume is nearly $1 billion. Still experiencing fairly rapid growth, certain changes have caused some bumps in the road. For example, the company is leaving Ethereum (the legality of its change in tokenomics has been questioned) as it is set to launch its own blockchain built with Cosmos, and it has exited the Canadian market.
The game plan is for dYdX to be fully decentralized - Tendermint's proof-of-stake consensus protocol to validate transactions - by the end of the year. By continuing to innovate and push the boundaries of what's possible with blockchain technology, dYdX is positioning itself as a major player in the rapidly evolving cryptocurrency derivatives market.
