Who you are
- You LOVE technology because you’re curious, and you thrive building amazing products that are a joy to use, even with complex technologies such as Kubernetes
- A computer science or engineering background
- Product management experience with infrastructure products
- Experience with cloud native technologies, not only Kubernetes but surrounding technologies such as CNIs, CSIs, cloud providers, virtualization, etc
- Customer and stakeholder-first mindset
- Attention to detail with excellent written and oral skills
- Technical curiosity and capability - you will need to get your hands dirty
- Excellent presentation skills
- Proven ability to build and evolve product and engineering processes
What the job involves
- You will join a tight-knit, fun, and driven product and engineering team and bring your awesome Product Management (PM) and Kubernetes technical skills and experience with you
- We work as a team, and we are overall responsible for the Spectro Cloud product offerings
- Roadmapping and product strategy
- User stories & persona definitions
- Feature discovery
- Product and feature definitions
- Feature delivery, descriptions, demos, etc
- Field enablement and training
- Competitive analysis
- Product management and engineering processes
- User experience
Application process
- Screening interview - this is a 45 minute long interview where we verify if we are a good fit for each other. We'll both ask questions of each other in order to understand if we should proceed
- Product management interview - in this interview, you will meet a potential future teammate who will evaluate your product management skills and domain expertise
- Engineering interview - here you will meet potential engineering colleagues, who will be more focused on how you work with engineering and check your technical capabilities
- Culture/team interview - the questions here focus on your experience working in a team setting. Other questions check for organizational core values and culture fit
- Additional interviews - we may ask you to have additional interviews depending on your specific progress in the process
Our take
Since its release in 2014, Kubernetes has seen widespread adoption as a cloud-native data center for software companies and those using clusters of tools. Spectro Cloud helps companies and organisations using Kubernetes to deploy and manage the software across all stages of a product’s life cycle.
Founded by former employees of legacy software company Cisco, Spectro Cloud was created in 2019 to offer decentralised architecture, frictionless onboarding, management, and security for application building. Its Kubernetes management platform, Palette, works end-to-end to support the product lifecycle, allowing users to build for "what they need now and in the future."
With impressive funding behind it, Spectro Cloud is planning new management hires and expanding its software’s uses across new technologies. This includes exploring artificial intelligence and a variety of possible applications in industries such as automotive, healthcare and energy.
