  • An accomplished marketing professional with at least 10 years of experience in content, brand, and product marketing, ideally 5+ of those years in a leadership role

  • Having led or been a key contributor to a marketing team that has been a part of startup that has experienced rapid revenue growth and scaling is a big plus!
  • Experience marketing a product ecosystem that includes both hardware and software solutions - preferably an IoT product! (Preferably this product is sold B2B, but B2C is also helpful experience!)
  • Experience with marketing a product that sells through e-commerce as well as a broader omnichannel approach (i.e. e-commerce + outside sales + partnerships, etc…)
  • In-depth understanding of the sales funnel stages and buyer journey dynamics. You know how to analyze customer behavior, spot trends based on certain events, and test and iterate creative marketing campaigns to optimize performance
  • Experience sourcing, collaborating with creatives, contractors, and agencies to deliver impactful marketing campaigns. You have a rolodex of trusted agencies you’d call that can deliver rapid results!
  • Experience developing, producing, and sharing KPIs throughout the department and with senior management
  • Competence in project management tools such as Asana

What the job involves

  • We are seeking a Head of Marketing to lead our marketing initiatives and drive the strategic direction of our brand
  • As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a crucial role in amplifying our brand, increasing sales, generating qualified leads, and enhancing awareness of our innovative solutions
  • Collaborate with the executive team to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies aligned with our business objectives
  • Lead and manage the marketing department, including today’s marketing managers (who oversee product marketing, sales, events, and partnership marketing), in-house designers, and consultants, to ensure cohesive and effective execution of marketing campaigns
  • Devise and implement a holistic content and messaging strategy across all brand channels, including the website, email communications, social media, and more
  • Use your public relations and communications skills to maximize mass market, earned media opportunities
  • Direct and oversee paid advertising campaigns (Google Search, shopping, social), acting as a media buyer and creative strategist to maximize ROI
  • Take charge of owned social media activities and accounts to bolster industry and product awareness
  • Partner with commercial team members to experiment with and optimize various B2B and DTC customer acquisition paths
  • Extensive experience using Segment.io and Klayvio to develop customized customer journeys across platforms (Bonus if you have experience integrating data from CallRail, social media accounts, and Salesforce as additional inputs to develop a clear UCP.)
  • Collaborate with creatives, contractors, and agencies to deliver impactful marketing campaigns

Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a leading cause of death in the US, taking the lives of over 350,000 people per year. Currently, the survival rate for SCA is extremely low, but chances rise substantially if treatment can be administered quickly.

Avive Solutions exists to support better survival rates for SCA. The idea is to supply normal people with the tools to save lives, by developing and supplying automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The company's machines, which are currently the most portable FDA-approved AEDs on the market, not only act as defibrillators but also connect to other devices for remote monitoring, and can communicate with 911.

With the ultimate vision that no witnessed SCA goes untreated, there is no denying that Avive's undertaking is a noble one. Its product has been recognised by the International Design Excellence Awards, and substantial growth funding will be used to build connected AED networks in cities that enable AEDs to be used on Sudden Cardiac Arrest cases well before emergency services can arrive on scene.
