Role
Who you are
- 1+ years experience in Mobile development
- Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Typescript
- Experience with React Native or React
- Ideally some experience with UI/UX design (using tools like Figma)
- Strong details orientation and intrinsic motivation
- Passion and ambition (big plus if you own a hobby project like a blog, an affiliate-site, app, etc.)
- You like to work in a challenging yet rewarding environment with an open feedback culture
- Fluency in English

- We are striving to become the world’s largest movie and TV show streaming guide by becoming top-ranked in the Apple App Store and Google Play Store in the entertainment segment
- We are looking for a motivated Junior Mobile Developer with a hands-on mentality to support us in reaching this goal
- On our team, we are constantly questioning everything and love challenging goals. We prioritize getting things done and aim for excellence in execution. We believe in the 80/20 rule and try to apply common sense and pragmatism to everything
- Together with our Designer and SVP Platforms you’ll be building interesting views and features to acquire new users and improve their experience
- Conducting A/B tests and implement successful tests into our product
- Enhancing performance, reliability, and accessibility at scale
- Building internal tools to help us monitor and optimize a multi-million account app at scale
Our take
For years, JustWatch served as a global streaming guide, simplifying the search for shows across platforms like Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime. On top of this, it leveraged user data to run targeted movie marketing campaigns.
However, in the 2020s, JustWatch introduces a significant upgrade. Following in the footsteps of Plex and Reelgood, users can now seamlessly search, access, and receive recommendations from all their streaming services within a single app.
Remarkably, despite minimal external funding since its 2014 inception, JustWatch has expanded into approximately 60 markets with a team exceeding a hundred members. As the streaming services market becomes increasingly diverse and fragmented, JustWatch finds itself in a promising position to capitalize on these developments.
