Role
Who you are
- At least 5 years of outside sales experience
- Selling experience in Data, AI, or Machine Learning space
- Ability to articulate and sell the business value of big data and the big impact on businesses of all sizes
- Experience selling to developers, data scientists, and C level executives
- Significant experience at a fast-paced startup and able to work well in unstructured environments
- Strong technical background, ideally as a solutions engineer or a technical educational program
- Ability to understand the Machine Learning environment and build great relationships with highly technical customers
- Ability to identify high-probability customers and high-value verticals to go after
- Proven negotiation and closing skills
- Familiar with cloud and on-premise enterprise technology solutions
Desirable
- Knowledge of ML Operations and methodologies is a plus
What the job involves
- Build awareness of Fiddler platform within mid tier and large enterprise companies
- Aggressively prospect, identify, qualify, and develop sales pipeline
- Close business to exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales goals
- Build strong and effective relationships, resulting in growth opportunities
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing Fiddler customers
- Create and execute go to market plans that are based on viral methods and organic growth
- Partner with Customer Success teams to ensure pilots are successful and that critical feature requests are prioritized
- Lead and contribute to projects to develop and refine our sales process
- Developing and executing Go-to-market strategy
- Lead through a complex sales cycle
Our take
AI and machine learning are having a growing influence on how organizations make decisions. The problem with AI technology is that it's a black box. Companies are unable to know the inner workings of how they interpret data and arrive at their outcomes. It's not like traditional software, where a developer can check its code and figure it out.
Fiddler AI believes there's a need for a new type of explainable AI platform. It provides insights to customers so they see and understand how a particular system is making predictions. Plus, how those models can then be changed if bias is suspected. This increases trust and transparency in the technology.
Building trust in a market that is forecasted to grow over 30% per annum and reach a valuation of nearly $300 billion by 2026 is a smart move. It's no surprise that Fiddler AI already works with several of the largest banking institutions in the U.S., as well as online brands like Etsy.
Although, the complexities in AI will never go away. Maintaining high performance will always be challenging. Fiddler AI announced an investment from Alteryx in April 2023, vital financing for the need to fend off competitors such as Reflektion, Conviva, Rais, and Convr.
