  • As the Sr. Director of Product, you will shape and drive the vision and product strategy for our Workday mobile apps
  • You will collaborate with cross-functional teams and partner organizations to define our roadmap and plan for its successful execution
  • You will use a data-driven approach to building and executing on your strategy
  • You will think big to solve for the long-term while using an iterative, learning-based approach to deliver results now
  • In this role you will lead and inspire a global team of product managers building mobile experiences that help employees around the world be more productive and engaged
  • Define the product vision, strategy and roadmap for Workday mobile apps
  • Synthesize data from multiple sources to inform and iterate on your direction. Continuously evaluate customer and market feedback, user research, competitive analysis, company strategy materials, and analytics data
  • Evangelize your vision and strategy to inspire and motivate internal teams and external audiences. Clearly connect strategy to customer and user value, and business results
  • Be responsible for customer, user and business outcomes of product releases. Set KPIs and measure results
  • Lead a global team of product managers to translate strategy into action, grounded in a test and learn approach. Take calculated risks and promote innovation
  • Coach, mentor and support your team to grow and develop their expertise in product management and mobile best practices
  • Hire and retain a team of hardworking, critical-thinking and motivated people
  • Partner with your cross-functional peers to continuously optimize the product development process

Workday is a cloud-based software vendor that provides management of workforces and finances. The company uses a single database for workforce management and financial management to offer integration and optimize business intelligence across companies. It has added to the packages and tools it offers over the years, providing analytic options that allow companies to combine third-party data with information collected by Workday.

Workday has acquired and paired up with many other companies to keep expanding its offering. In 2021, it purchased the employee feedback platform Peakon in response to the growing need for managers to be able to survey workers and collect satisfaction data without face-to-face meetings. The company has also bought and developed many financial tools and HR management tools.

The company’s goal is to provide end-to-end back office services and while there are other providers, such as UKG Pro and Ceridian HCM, Workday’s broad offering helps them to stand out. Though it faced a tough global market in 2023 and has shed some of its headcount, Workday has seen a 6.5% gain in value in the first quarter of 2024. It is now focusing on growth and developing the AI capabilities of its platform. .
