What the job involves

  • The Sales Development Representative (SDR) is an extension of the Field Sales organization generating qualified sales opportunities through responding Marketing generated leads, inbound interest and targeted outbound prospecting.
  • In close collaboration with Account Executives, SDRs establish prospecting plans for strategic accounts to uncover new business and grow existing customers. SDRs also manage small deals and renewals in their assigned territories
  • This is an excellent opportunity for someone aspiring to become a full quota carrying sales professional for a market leading strategic analytics company.
  • This is a full-time, traditional office position with a competitive base salary and variable compensation based on lead conversion and pipeline generation and quota attainment

Alteryx brings a suite of tools to automate data driven processes on a large scale, massively speeding up data based procedures. The system also uses AI to analyse data and provide insights to enable rapid decision making. What Alteryx does differently from other data science tool developers, is with its focus on accessibility of its software with a low code / no code ethos. This also allows for greater collaboration between people with differing skill sets.

It may take time for data scientists to fully make the move from familiar spreadsheet based data formats. However, new techniques are becoming increasingly more accepted, and so this problem should fade over time.

The business has made some strategic partnerships, most notably with Snowflake and Blue Prism, global leaders in robotic process automation. With AI becoming more mainstream through the arrival of new tools like ChatGPT, Alteryx is projected to make major inroads in its market as more companies turn to automated solutions for data analysis.
