Who you are

What the job involves

  • Cyngn is at the forefront of industrial autonomy, and we are seeking a dynamic sales and revenue leader to drive the strategic growth of our Enterprise Autonomy Suite
  • As the VP of Sales, you will be a key member of the executive leadership team, responsible for setting and executing the sales strategy that will define the future of Autonomous Driving and Artificial Intelligence in logistics and manufacturing
  • This is a unique opportunity to influence industry direction, drive significant revenue growth, and be a trailblazer in a rapidly evolving market
  • This role is expected to travel frequently to existing and prospective customers, distribution channels and events
  • Revenue Growth: Accelerate revenue growth by developing and implementing innovative sales processes, metrics, and methodologies that optimize the entire sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract closure
  • Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy aligned with the company's vision and business goals. Drive the strategic planning process for the sales function and ensure alignment with broader company objectives
  • Sales Organization Development: Build, mentor, and lead a world-class sales team capable of scaling the company's growth. Instill a high-performance sales culture focused on exceeding revenue targets and market expansion
  • Market Penetration: Leverage deep industry knowledge and relationships to identify and capture opportunities. Develop strategies for onboarding new accounts and expanding existing customer accounts
  • Executive Relationships: Establish and maintain strong relationships with C-level executives and key decision-makers within target organizations. Act as the face of the company in high-stakes negotiations and large-scale enterprise deals
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Product, Engineering, Marketing, and Customer Success teams to ensure the sales strategy aligns with product offerings, market needs, and customer success outcomes
  • P&L Responsibility: Own the sales budget and be accountable for sales financial performance, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting on key sales KPIs to the executive team and board of directors
  • Thought Leadership: Represent Cyngn as a thought leader in the industry, participating in industry events, panels, and media engagements to evangelize our solutions and establish the company as an industry leader
  • Innovation and Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in the sales process through data-driven decision-making, advanced CRM utilization, and adopting best practices in sales technology and techniques

Our take

From the switch from manual driving to automatic in the 40s, and now the rise of autonomous vehicles (AVs) in the past 5-10 years, cars have come a long way. The excitement of the fully automatic Tesla may have meant other AVs were overshadowed. It’s often not realised how many vehicles, from forklifts to stock chasers, are now operable in certain capacities without direct driver control.

Cyngn is a well-established company providing autonomous vehicle solutions. The company prides itself on a team of knowledgeable engineers and software engineers that make its DriveMod product easily unified with companies' current workflows, claiming “if a human driver can do it, so can DriveMod”.

Cyngn has raised significant funding since its founding in 2009, which reflects not only the quality of it's product, but the trust the industry has in it as well. It has made a number of impressive collaborations and partnerships in recent years; such as signing with US Continental to provide self-driving stock chasers, as well as working alongside Jtec Industries to bring a sophisticated cart system to its autonomous vehicle deployments, which opens new revenue opportunities for the company.
