Our take

Bluecore uses data gained from direct marketing like email, social media, site activity and combines that with machine learning to make better predictions about who might want to buy what. In turn this helps turn casual consumers into lifetime customers for its clients, predominantly large retailers such as Sephora, CVS, Teleflora and Tommy Hilfiger.

Competitors include Wunderkind, dotdigital Engagement Cloud, Salesforce Email Studio and ActiveCampaign.

The business proposition of Bluecore is widely valued by both the investment and retail community thanks to its focus on predictable customer bases within an increasingly unpredictable market. After its unicorn-making Series E funding in 2021, Bluecore continues to reinvent how brands and retailers can engage with shoppers, helping drive the shift toward digital-first commerce. Over 2022, Bluecore has been expanding its leadership team and making forays into mobile technology.

Company values

  • As simple as possible, as powerful as necessary - We stay focused on driving progress for Bluecore and our customers today, with an approach to tailor and design for tomorrow, without carrying the heavy burden of unnecessary complexity.
  • We win when our customers win - Bluecore wouldn’t exist if it weren’t for the quantifiable success we drive for our customers through our people as well as the processes and technologies we offer.
  • Seek lessons in success and failure - The lessons learned from failures can be almost as valuable as those learned from successes. They remind you of the unlikeliness of success and when to recognize it.
  • #onebluecore - Whenever you see something great happen, it's rarely the result of the work of an individual, but the culmination of the work of a team's effort, both seen and unseen.
  • The best solutions matter - Think in solutions, not just problems. The best ideas come from anywhere, sometimes even where you least expect them. Everyone has great ideas if you create opportunities to share them.
  • Act with intention - As a team, we understand our goals, hold ourselves accountable and take ownership of the actions required to achieve incredible outcomes.
  • Imagine the possibilities - When we build something, we limit ourselves if we only think about the current state of the problem we are solving for. We stretch our boundaries and embrace the possibilities that come with it.
