To become the operating system of every dental practice in the country, bringing solutions to complex problems in an industry that has been underserved.

Role

Who you are

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, design, marketing and customer support, to define and deliver high-quality products used by external and internal customers
  • Communicate transparently with your cross-functional partners to ensure alignment on context and vision
  • Work closely with customers, customer support teams, and stakeholders to understand their needs and pain points, and translate them into actionable product requirements
  • Bring deep customer empathy and serve as the champion and voice of our customers
  • Partner with designers to conduct user research and usability testing to gather insights and validate product concepts, ensuring a user-centric approach to product development
  • Manage the entire product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch, and drive the execution of product initiatives in an agile environment
  • Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and impact of your products
  • Leverage data and insights to tell stories and measure your impact and success
  • Stay updated on industry trends and emerging technologies and apply that knowledge to drive innovation and continuous improvement
  • Interface with external partners and vendors to evaluate and integrate third-party systems that enhance the capabilities and functionality of our dental technology platform

Otta's take

CEO of Otta

Dentistry is a $200 billion industry with incredibly archaic practices. Dandy was created to integrate and simplify every function of the dental practice through technology.

Other startups have attempted to bring technology to this industry before but Dandy is one of the first to respect the complexity of the industry and meet dentists where they are. In practice, that has meant introducing product features one-by-one, like digitising the dental lab (crowns, implants, etc).

Eventually the plan for Dandy is to build out the operating system for dental practices. That will involve offering a kind of ‘business-in-a-box’ for dental physicians so that they can focus solely on their expertise while Dandy handles the rest.

It’s an impressive vision and if it works, will deliver an incredible amount of value to an industry in desperate need of innovation. However, dentistry as a profession is resistant to change. Patience will be key as Dandy continues to upturn these professionals' way of doing things.
