Role

Who you are

  • 4 or more years of experience in consultancy or operations, ideally in a healthcare setting
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience in financial modelling and defining measurement plans to track initiative success
  • Excellent communicator, with ability to flex style to suit a variety of healthcare professionals, operations and commercial stakeholders
  • Autonomous in problem solving with data-led solutions
  • Process orientated, with a passion for creating structure from ambiguity and using data insights to inform your approach
  • Quick learner with new systems and self-starter in driving improvements

What the job involves

  • We are seeking an ambitious Operations Manager to lead HeliosX’s clinical operations for our UK weight-loss service. This is an exciting opportunity to join an innovative team providing GLP1 weight loss treatment to customers in a rapidly expanding digital health environment.
  • You will own the end-to-end patient operation, drive service improvements, and collaborate closely with the Medical team to ensure exceptional patient experiences
  • The ideal candidate will be versatile, adept at managing large data sets, and skilled in solving complex problems using data-driven insights in a fast-paced setting. Success in this role requires a continuous improvement mindset, alongside excellent project management and people skills
  • Operations
  • Champion operational excellence, installing best practice with patient-facing teams to drive efficiency
  • Cost management; prepare weekly cost variance analysis vs targets, identifying key trends in cost drivers and actions needed to address
  • SLA management; optimise team hours to meet response time targets and analyse cause when missed
  • Workforce planning; forecast capacity requirements, set hiring targets and manage recruitment (with support from Talent and Clinical)
  • Identify opportunities for service improvement, scope and implement projects, analysing success against measurement plans
  • Business SME for the prescriber system and end-to-end clinical operation, understanding what data is captured at each stage of the workflow and how this translates to service performance reporting
  • Cross-Functional Initiatives
  • Collaborate with Medical, Product and Growth on new launches and deliver initiatives to improve service quality and efficiency
  • Collaborate with Medical to analyse quality and governance trends and recommend improvements
  • Team Admin and Compliance
  • Oversee performance management and bi-annual-performance reviews for patient facing teams
  • With support from an Ops Analyst, manage and oversee team administration across a range of areas (onboarding, rotas/scheduling, team/process documentation, monitoring clinician licences, regulatory requirements, auditing/record keeping, etc.)

Our take

Generally speaking, the healthcare sector is slow to adopt new technologies. HeliosX bucks the trend, having been founded in 2013 to provide quicker, convenient access to medications through the use of cutting-edge tech.

HeliosX aims to improve the quality, accessibility and affordability of healthcare across the UK, US and Europe. With millions of customers worldwide, it operates across the medical, dermatology, and nutritional supplement sectors through its top-selling brands and products - Dermatica (personalised skincare brand), MedExpress (telepharmacy), Levity (prescription weight loss), ZipHealth (online medical consultations & pharmacy) and their men's health brand, RocketRx.

HeliosX has seen its global revenue rocket from £60m to £180m between 2023 and 2024. This growth is impressive for a company that's had no external funding, and it aims to accelerate its expansion in 2025 by moving into new territories.
