Our take

Financial advisors often require education and increased access to alternative investment funds and products. However, the lack of an integrated platform for finding such opportunities causes difficulties within this profession.

CAIS provides an online marketplace where financial advisors and asset managers can liaise through direct communication in regard to alternative investments. Advice is sourced from experts in hedge funds, private equity and credit, real estate, and digital assets.

Its service is used by thousands of financial advisors who oversee over $1.2 trillion in assets. Furthermore, the startup’s largest custodians include Fidelity and Schwav who collectively aim to streamline over $6 trillion in assets for over 15,000 financial advisors.

After substantial funding and hitting unicorn status in 2022, the company is now focused on further advancing its technology, enhancing the customer experience through personalized experiences, and digitizing product operations for fund managers and financial advisors alike.
