• Currently pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in statistics, math, computer science, physics, electrical engineering, or equivalent certifications (required)
• Solid programming skills
• Ability to work within a geographically distributed team
• Basic experience with source control systems such as Git
• Reliable internet access for any period of time working remotely, not in a Workiva office

• Summer Internships: Monday, May 19, 2025 (40/hours per week max)
• The Machine Learning Engineering Intern acts as part of a collaborative team within the Data Management and Analytics organization. The team’s primary role is to support the development, deployment, and monitoring of machine learning models developed by Workiva’s data scientists
• Participates in discovery, requirements gathering, and prototyping of new tools and libraries
• Implements tooling and features to support machine learning model development and deployment under the direction of a full-time Machine Learning Engineer
• Participates in code reviews
• Implements and updates tests (unit, integration)
• Tracks tasks and completes status updates using internal tools
• Works in an Agile development methodology alongside their teammates
