Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with sales CRM tools such as Salesforce or similar software
  • Experience using Microsoft Excel to manipulate and analyze data
  • Experience defining, refining and implementing sales processes, procedures and policies or equivalent
  • 4+ years of experience in a strategy consulting, business planning, business management and/or chief of staff role

What the job involves

  • AWS is hiring a Business Operations Manager in Worldwide Field Enablement (WWFE)
  • They will serve as a trusted advisor to the Head of AWS Global Sales - EMEA Field Enablement and the extended leadership team
  • They will think holistically and strategically about key operational rhythms, business processes, organizational communication, and enabling effective business planning
  • The Business Operations Manager will provide thought leadership and planning discipline, enabling the right strategic decisions and helping rapid business execution
  • They will bring a unique balance of leadership, strategic thinking, cross-group collaboration, influence, and communication skills. Equally important, Business Operations Manager will know how to “just get things done”
  • Rhythm of the Business (ROB) Management: Design and manage the rhythm of meetings that enable WW Enablement to run the business. This will include All hands, Weekly Business Reviews (WBR), Monthly Business Reviews (MBRs), and Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs). Ensure preparation and clear agendas that address top issues. Track decisions and actions to completion. Help the business run smoothly and effectively
  • Business Management: 1/Budgeting, 2/Headcount, 3/Vendor Management, and 4/Travel and Expenses
  • ROB Communications: 1/Internal-facing team Slack channel management, 2/Org and Team level distribution list management, and 3/WWFE ROB & Culture Calendar
  • Business Operational Excellence: 1/Maintain digital presence for internal sites with consistent branding (e.g. Wiki and Smartsheet), 2/SOPs and Templates (Best Practices), and 3/Automation & Enhancements (e.g., Smartsheet)
  • WWFE Culture & Engagement related activities

On top of this, the company's e-commerce division is facing profitability problems despite its 2023 post-IPO debt funding of 8 billion. It will need to find new ways to stay above their competitors.
