Who you are

  • The ideal candidate will be a great leader with a willingness to be hands-on, ability to create and scale a team and be someone that is self motivated with excellent communication skills
  • Successful candidates will bring a strong team leadership, accounting and financial control background
  • A candidate with experience in building financial reporting and control functions is preferred as well as having the high level of integrity demanded in an enterprise that operates in a complex, highly regulated environment
  • You bring proven experience in regulatory reporting within the global Emoney or banking sector
  • Experience working in a high volume, fast growing, multinational company including leading and growing reporting teams, preferably within the payments or financial services industry
  • You have a commitment to accuracy, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Experience in regulatory reporting data models, building data definitions and ability to interpret regulatory requirements into business data requirements
  • Excellent stakeholder manager, comfortable being a leader in finance and liaising with numerous stakeholders across Checkout, external providers and regulators
  • Up-to-date with current regulatory report requirements, preferably FCA, ACPR, USA, MAS (Singapore) and HK
  • Highly motivated and able to work towards tight deadlines on multiple projects in a fast-paced work environment
  • 5+ years of financial or regulatory reporting experience

What the job involves

  • Checkout.com is looking for a Senior Manager of Financial Regulatory Reporting to join our Finance team
  • This is a very exciting opportunity for a finance professional to join a rapidly expanding global company. The role is in a multi layered global finance team and will be a central point for global regulatory reporting
  • You will be joining a growing global financial controller team that is building a more controlled and best in class financial and reporting environment
  • The role plays a crucial role by owning the control environment for the Group’s regulatory reporting, assisting the Group’s local entity Financial controller team complete all reporting in a timely and accurate manner
  • Responsibility for the Group’s regulatory reporting control environment
  • Working with Compliance, Regional Financial Controllers and data teams build the data definitions, control procedures, horizon scanning and manage the reporting system
  • Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve gathering data from various sources, ensuring its accuracy, and submitting timely reports
  • You will commit to staying updated on regulatory changes and be able to interface with Regulators
  • Identifying any issues or discrepancies in reporting data and rectifying them promptly directly or with data owners
  • If necessary, decide on, implement and maintain regulatory reporting system and lead the regulatory reporting team expansion
  • Assist with second line and internal audit reviews, implementing recommended changes as required
  • Participate in local or global ad hoc projects as necessary, assisting the global teams to standardise processes and controls that are appropriate for a highly regulated environment
