Role

Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent training and professional experience
  • 8+ years of development experience
  • 2+ shipped games, with at least one shipped console title
  • Comfortable expressing both high and low-level concepts in C++, or another systems programing language
  • Experience with 1st party platform tools (such as CPU and GPU profilers)
  • Experience debugging and optimizing runtime systems
  • Passion for making and playing games

What the job involves

  • You will collaborate with designers, artists and other SEs to help bring features to shippable quality
  • You will optimize the performance and memory requirements of core game features
  • You will work with the Lead Systems Engineer to help make Skate excel on every platform
  • You will improve some of the following: application lifecycle management, platform specific tools, workflows and processes, optimizing the CPU, GPU and memory usage of game and engine code
  • You will work with the central Frostbite engine team to develop new systems and improve existing engine modules that are shared across EA
  • You will collaborate with a diverse team of developers who share a goal to use technology to make skate the best experience for our players

In the upcoming years, the company plans to focus on games-as-a-service, as it embraces the evolution of the gaming world.
