Senior Director of Data Governance and Architecture, Walgreens

• Bachelor's Degree and at least 8 years experience in a enterprise Data Architecture, Data Architecture role or an Enterprise IT Strategy function OR High School/GED and at least 11 years of experience in a Enterprise Data Architecture, Data Architecture role or an Enterprise IT Strategy function
• Knowledge of current state data warehousing technology and tools, such as data warehousing appliances, CDI Technologies, Master Data Management technology
• Experience collaborating with (internal and external resources) to develop strategies that meet department goals within budget and established timelines
• Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
• Experience coordinating and facilitating executive management meetings
• Experience diagnosing, isolating, and resolving complex issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
• Experience identifying operational issues and recommending and implementing strategies to resolve problems
• At least 5 years of experience contributing to financial decisions in the workplace
• At least 5 years of direct leadership, indirect leadership and/or cross functional team leadership
• Willing to travel up to/at least (15 percent) of the time for business purposes (within state and out of state)

Desirable

• Responsible for taking ownership of the overall strategic data architecture direction developing the data vision and defining and setting the data strategy
• Responsible for developing the roadmap for execution against the strategy developing the data governance models policies, and procedures associated with components of the data architecture which will guide IT efforts in delivery of the long term vision
• Collaborates with IT leadership in the design and development of the strategic direction and visionfor the data architecture function
• Develops and maintains our overall data architecture in alignment with the overall IT vision,supporting the information needs of the Walgreens family of businesses
• Creates and implements a high level roadmap to guide and shape the delivery of new data assetsand migration of existing assets into the data architecture function
• Develops and establishes standards and polices for information asset classes and collaborateswith the application and shared services teams to inventory and classify existing informationassets
• Establishes and leads an enterprise data governance process to enable Sr. IT leadership to directinvestment towards strategically and financially appropriate activities
• Collaborates across business unit Information management to identify opportunities to leveragecommon solutions and extend the adoption of standards
• Facilitates the sharing of data architecture best practices throughout the architecture communityand the IT organization by assisting in the creation of an architecture community of practice

• 1.5 times annual base salary for all salaried team members and any eligible hourly team members
• $25,000 for all other hourly paid team members
