Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience in product marketing, user education, lifecycle marketing, or in a similar role in a SaaS setting, preferably covering both B2B and B2C
  • Has a proven track record in improving customer retention and expansion
  • Demonstrates exceptional writing and content creation skills, including compelling video scripts and articles primarily related to user education
  • Drives results with data and shows a performance-driven mentality, adept at leveraging data to determine and prioritize high-impact activities
  • Exhibits expert project management capabilities, especially in handling content production, updates, and distribution effectively
  • Facilitates cross-team collaboration and can coordinate with multiple stakeholders and their different goals

  • To achieve our ambitious goals, we're looking for a Senior Product Marketing Manager to join our core Product Marketing team.
  • This role will be pivotal in shaping user interaction with Grammarly by developing the User Education function from the ground up.

  • As a Senior Product Marketing Manager, you will improve expansion and retention among our current customer base, working closely with Lifecycle Marketing, Sales, and Growth teams to establish Grammarly as the leading AI writing and communication partner
  • Conduct comprehensive market research to identify expansion and retention opportunities and understand customer needs
  • Partner with LCM, Growth, and Customer Success to connect users with product value to improve customer retention and expansion
  • Develop compelling messaging with the goal of customer expansion
  • Develop and manage a user education program, coordinating with various stakeholders to organize and update content systematically
  • Create engaging and instructive written and video content that educates our users on how to get the most out of Grammarly
  • Build sales enablement materials
  • Use data to guide content strategy, ensuring materials are impactful and meet the evolving needs of our diverse user base

Grammarly was originally launched as a subscription service for students, although the platform has moved into the mainstream in the last decade. It went freemium in 2015 and now works across more than 500,000 applications and websites including email clients, enterprise software, and word processors. Paid tiers give users more tools beyond grammar and spelling checks to include things like word choice, sentence rewrites, tone adjustments, fluency, and formality level.

The company has been profitable since the beginning and now has a valuation of more than $13 billion, placing it among the 10 most valuable startups in the US. The AI writing assistant space is heating up, and Grammarly is hoping to defend its positions against offerings including Scalenut, Ginger and Microsoft's Editor by the release of its SDK, making it far easier to integrate Grammarly into other applications. So far this has been used in over 4,000 products and earned excellent ratings and increased user numbers of Grammarly's service.
