Role

Who you are

  • You must have some prior experience (preferably 6+ months) in an outbound sales type role. This could be through internships or work experience
  • You are entrepreneurial and happy working with imperfect processes to help us learn fast. This role is not for you if you want complete structure from day one with low flexibility
  • You are high energy, ambitious, hard-working and a fast-learner
  • You have the ability to communicate in a warm, friendly yet professional manner
  • You are comfortable with prospecting in the startup to mid market range of prospects in the tech space
  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, and well organised

What the job involves

  • You will work closely with Fin, our VP Commercial and Steph, our Sales Lead to build the first version of our sales development function, a brand new team at Otta. This is a great opportunity for someone who is hungry to learn
  • You will use our unique insights and data to identify and generate potential leads or prospects for the sales team. The vast majority of our leads today are inbound thanks to Otta’s strong brand and reputation, but we want to build our outbound engine
  • You will qualify inbound leads to understand if they are a good fit for Otta, nurturing them through the initial stages of the sales funnel, before executing a smooth handover to the Account Executives. Your job will be to provide context about the prospect's needs, challenges, and interactions, enabling the sales team to tailor their approach effectively
  • You will generate leads through various channels, such as email, phone calls, social media and in-person events
  • We want you to share the feedback prospects give you during your conversations with our Marketing and Product teams, so that we can refine messaging, improve targeting, and enhance product offerings
  • You’ll use and maintain tools including: Hubspot, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LeadIQ, G-Suite, Slack
