Who you are
- Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Mathematics, Computer Science, Engineering, or closely related quantitative discipline, and four (4) years of Progressively responsible experience in job offered or in any occupation in a related field

- Proficiency with at least one high-performance language such As Golang, C, C++, or Java
- Large-scale development with continuous integration (CI) Systems
- Large-scale deployment with continuous deployment (CD) systems
- Operating Services on Kubernetes
- Designing best-practice RPC APIs and interfacing with structured RPC protocols such as gRPC or Thrift
- High-scale, data-intensive service design and Development
- High-scale service operation and incident management
- Dynamic software- Based traffic routing
- Design, implementation, and operation of eventually-consistent Systems
- Debugging distributed services/applications
- Zero-downtime service Deployment methodology
- Service observability, instrumentation, and monitoring
- Any Suitable combination of education, training and/or experience is acceptable

- Build and scale the high-traffic services that underpin Reddit’s most fundamental User experiences, and the new innovations that will spark connections and fuel the next wave of Reddit’s growth
- Build a stable, high-performance, and flexible platform API upon which product Teams and Reddit can quickly iterate on user-delighting features
- Maintain and operate our core Services and ensure industry-leading uptime and resilience
- Given directional clarity, Independently design and implement high-quality software solutions
- Help assess and hire Strong new talent to fuel our mission
- Mentor and coach more junior engineers on your direct Team to grow skills and increase their impact and contribution

Reddit is a website that facilitates thousands of message board communities, known as subreddits, with an aim to promote authentic human connection. There are more than 100,000 communities on Reddit, covering everything, from food, entertainment, sports, and books, to more niche topics that cater for very specific audiences.
The simple platform is used by more than 52 million people a day and attracts over 50 billion monthly views. While these are impressive numbers, they do pale in comparison with social media giants Facebook and Twitter, however, Reddit distinguishes itself by providing easy-to-find communities for a truly endless range of topics.
Reddit makes money through advertising as well as offering a premium ad-free membership plan. The company has enjoyed continuous user & revenue growth, acquisitions by Conde Nast in 2006 and Advance in 2011, and plans to launch an IPO bid in 2024.
