Who you are

  • 10+ years of marketing experience, with a background in customer adoption, engagement, and retention. B2B2C/B2C e-commerce or marketplace experience is strongly preferred
  • Experience driving customer lifecycle marketing strategies and executing creative, high-performing multi-channel campaigns
  • Experience leading, mentoring, and growing a team of performance marketers
  • Deep expertise in leveraging data from various sources to optimize tactics, drive incremental business results, and enhance customer experiences
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make data-driven decisions
  • Highly skilled at strategic thinking, planning and execution
  • Strong communication skills; able to effectively collaborate across teams and influence colleagues
  • Action-oriented with a “get it done” mentality: relentless attention to detail coupled with a commitment to deliver high-quality work on a deadline and always think two steps ahead
  • An affection for “just figuring things out” and inventing any ideas or approaches that help us accomplish our objectives
  • Familiarity with marketing automation, lifecycle marketing tools, and campaign management platforms
  • Experience with using customer data platforms for segmentation and customized messaging

What the job involves

  • We are seeking a Senior Manager, Retention and Lifecycle Marketing to lead our customer retention and growth efforts
  • Develop and execute strategic campaigns to increase customer retention and grow bookings through email, SMS, push notifications, on-site and in-app messaging, and paid media
  • Drive performance across all areas of the customer lifecycle – from adoption, to expanding share of wallet, to winning back lapsed customers
  • Lead and mentor a team of lifecycle marketers, fostering their skill development and career growth
  • Analyze and translate data from various sources (eg. reporting dashboards, customer insights) into actionable insights, recommendations and strategic plans to enhance customer touchpoints, drive engagement, and improve conversion rates
  • Identify areas for optimization and implement strategies to improve campaign effectiveness
  • Partner with the growth acquisition team to increase retention effectively and efficiently using paid media
  • Utilize segmentation techniques to customize communications and marketing campaigns

Our take

ezCater is an online marketplace app that provides catering options for businesses, working with food providers who enter their menus onto the app for customers to browse. ezCater sends each store its orders and handles customer service whilst the food providers fulfill the orders.

ezCater profits by charging a small commission on all orders that restaurants fulfill. The company counts JLL, RingCentral and the San Francisco 49ers among its customers. It previously fuelled expansion through acquisitions such as online catering platform GoCater in 2018 and MonkeySoft Solutions in 2019.

ezCater has enjoyed strong growth so far, in part by focusing on meal deliveries to a growing hybrid workforce as an employee benefit. It has been eyeing an IPO for some time, though these plans are yet to come to fruition. In the meantime, it has continued to develop its technology and unveiled a new supplier diversity program to uplift small businesses owned by underrepresented groups.
