  • You are able to start a full time graduate job in October 2024
  • Eligible to work in London (no sponsorship is available for this role)
  • You’ve got a portfolio that demonstrates strong visual design skills, solid craft and your ability to work across a broad range of brand touchpoints
  • You have an understanding of how to translate a brand across both print and digital collateral from social media assets to pitch decks
  • Experience creating and art-working collateral for exhibitions and events
  • Skills in Figma and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • You’re able to clearly rationalise your decisions to other team members

Desirable

  • Understanding of how to design responsive web experiences

  • You have knowledge or experience of creating production ready deliverables

What the job involves

  • We’re looking for a talented Graduate Designer to join our Wise Platform design team here in London.
  • You’ll be working with the cross-functional teams that make up Wise Platform — a squad that helps banks and large enterprises move the world’s money with speed, certainty and ease.
  • You’ll be part of Wise’s global mission to build an open, fair, and human financial system. Because people without borders need money without borders
  • You’ll get to know Wise product teams and customers, building empathy and deep understanding of their needs
  • You’ll be honing and flexing your craft skills in a collaborative environment. Helping bring our new Wise Platform brand to life through the creation of event experiences and a range of marketing materials that support our marketing and sales teams
  • You’ll be influential in your team, guiding them to prioritise customer-centricity, creativity, and design quality
  • You will have flexibility in how and where you work. We understand everyone needs a little something different - so we’ll do our best to make it happen, but we recommend coming to the office as much as possible in your first months!

Our take

Wise started when the two founders realised they would be better off trading Estonian kroons for British pounds (and vice versa) between themselves rather than going through banks. That was back in 2011, and they've since grown Wise into one of Europe's most successful tech businesses, exchanging billions of currency every month.

Wise rapidly grew by solving a significant problem for customers, who lost too much money to banks when exchanging currency. They've attracted investment from some of the best investors in the world, from Andreesen Horowitz to Index Ventures and even Richard Branson.

The challenge for Wise will be maintaining their edge and brand power in a market that's becoming increasingly crowded with new entrants (like Revolut and Monzo) and incumbents (traditional banks) trying to catch up. To do so, the company is ramping up its digital and marketing strategies, as well as pushing for further development of its existing products.
