Who you are

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field
  • Fluent in English
  • 2 years minimum experience leading a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, as well as negotiation skills
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills
  • Experience managing customer communications and relations (You have experience with a hospitality company and / or with guest services)
  • Comfortable working in cross-functional teams
  • Knowledge of the real estate sector will be valued
  • Proficient in the use of Hubspot is a plus
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

What the job involves

  • You will be responsible for assisting with the sales of our rental apartments and guest services plus ad-hoc support covering staff holidays
  • You will play a key role to help ensure that we meet our occupancy and revenue goals in your cities as well as our customer satisfaction targets
  • Support and assist the sales team with day to day tasks
  • Coordinate & distribute the leads across the Sales Coordinators
  • Observe, analyze current strategies and develop new strategies together with the leadership
  • Support Sales Teams operations required to implement the organizational sales strategies (CRM input data, Revenue pricing rules % promotions, …)
  • Cover day to day sales tasks when your team is on holidays or absent
  • Respond to customer inquiries related to new and existing reservations
  • Draft rental agreement contracts
  • Lead and manage a high-performing B2C sales team
  • Recruit, train, and mentor sales staff to ensure optimal performance and career growth
  • Analyze market trends and customer needs, and identify new business opportunities and revenue streams
  • Conducts long-term & short- term goal settings for teams and individuals and uses data to measure performance and monitor sales processes, identify issues and enhance sales performance

Our take

Renting an apartment abroad can be a complicated and expensive process. Ukio solves this problem by making it easier to lease an apartment in prime city locations.

Ukio was founded by two veterans of Knotel and Airbnb, and the company functions in a similar way to the latter. However, it differentiates itself from Airbnb and other rental sites by focusing on the mid-length leases and fashionable locations typically favoured by professional remote workers. The company has benefited from the increasing number of people looking for flexible short term rentals especially in major international hubs.

Having already expanded into Germany and Portugal, it is using recent investments to enter the French and Italian markets, with longer term goals to establish a presence in the UK and Ireland. It is also building a B2B solution for international businesses to allow them to offer accomodation to their remote employees.
