Role

Who you are

  • BS/BA degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • 10+ years of enterprise software sales experience selling to named accounts within the territory
  • 5-10+ years of proven sales leadership with a reputable software interest preferred
  • Deep knowledge of the cybersecurity landscape and network operations environment preferred
  • History of exceptional quota attainment preferred
  • Knowledge and passion for reporting metrics and closing deals preferred
  • Enterprise sales experience with a rolodex of decision makers preferred
  • 'Whatever it takes' attitude and motivation to achieve above quota performance preferred
  • Prior startup experience, experience being one of the first salespeople into an organization preferred
  • The ideal candidate is located in the Chicago area

What the job involves

  • The successful Regional Vice President drives a sales team consisting of Directors of Strategic Accounts to success by delivering technology solutions tailored to customer needs and can meet and beat their assigned revenue targets
  • Oversee and be the primary sales leader for the Regional sales team. Manage a team of up to 8 DSAs
  • Working with the Tanium Partner and Channel resources, develop and prepare an actionable strategic sales plan for each named regional account
  • Maintain awareness and status of all essential regional contractual obligations, facilitating customer meetings and communications regarding deliverables where necessary
  • Recruit, develop, and retain high-performing sales talent

In doing so, it allows security and IT teams access to accurate information on the state of endpoints, helping it to realise new levels of business resilience.

Tanium added a former US Defence Secretary to its Board in 2021. A collaboration with Salesforce provided a platform that supports IT service management, remote monitoring and management, and cybersecurity capabilities. In the same year, the appointment of CFO Mark Levine could signal an IPO in the near future.
