  • Passion for AI, games and all things interactive
  • Experience in leading and scaling sales and revenue functions from 0 to 1
  • 7+ years of experience in sales and revenue in the B2B SaaS business, selling a highly technical product in the games or technology industries
  • Proven track record of closing multimillion-dollar deals with large media and entertainment companies and delivering revenue growth
  • Experience in establishing the structure for a revenue function and sales org, including the implementation of CRM systems, compensation plans, sales forecasting, quota setting, and other key operational components
  • Strong leadership skills, along with an optimistic, energetic, and persistent approach, proven to inspire and lead teams toward meeting and exceeding revenue goals
  • High technical fluency, with the ability to deeply understand a technical product and effectively communicate its specifics to developers as well as to commercial and C-suite buyers
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills; expertise in building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders, customers, and partners
  • Ability to work independently, take ownership of projects, and deliver results in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

What the job involves

  • As the VP of Revenue, you will be the driving force behind our revenue growth, overseeing multiple revenue-generating motions, including sales and customer success
  • You will establish a robust sales strategy to convert leads into closed deals, build and manage a high-performing sales team, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of revenue-generating initiatives
  • You’ll also be responsible for managing all revenue channel development and introducing new sales channels and partners. Your role will significantly contribute to our growth and position us at the forefront of the AI and games industry
  • Develop and implement comprehensive strategies to maximize revenue, improve customer acquisition and retention, and drive overall revenue growth
  • Own the entire revenue function. Build, scale, and manage a high-performing sales team, drive GTM strategy, develop commercial and pricing models, oversee inbound and outbound sales, and ensure customer success
  • Oversee all channel/partner development, including adding new sales channels and resellers
  • Lead and participate in the end-to-end sales function, from discovery and demos to pricing discussions and final contract negotiations
  • Set the structure for the GTM org, including establishing key performance metrics, compensation structure, and setting and tracking sales quotas and forecasts
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including partnerships, product, marketing and creative to ensure successful execution of sales initiatives
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market dynamics, and the competitive landscape to identify new business opportunities and stay ahead of the competition
  • Represent Inworld at industry events, conferences, and other networking opportunities

Dialogue writing for video games has traditionally been a matter of branching conversations based on player input, but this is a time-consuming and complicated process. In modern virtual environments which can contain thousands of characters, the need to save on costs means that conversations with many characters can be shallow and repetitive. Inworld AI's solution allows for the creation of unique and flexible interactions for even the most minor characters, based on just a few descriptive sentences.

As a novel application of AI to the games industry Inworld has grown rapidly, closing a seed financing round in 2021 and releasing its first product before being selected to join the 2022 Disney Accelerator. While the functionality of AI characters in a major release has yet to be tested, early signs for the company have been promising and it has attracted a major hire in John Gaeta (of Matrix fame) as Chief Creative Officer.

Inworld AI has recently closed another major round of funding, which it will use for product development and hiring. While it has yet to announce a pricing structure for its product, it is already looking at applications outside gaming and the metaverse, aiming at entertainment more broadly, sales, marketing, and education as just a few possible areas for expansion.
