  • Are you an analytical, results-driven sales and marketing professional with a passion for building iconic consumer brands?
  • Mazon Devices is seeking an experienced Senior Sales and Marketing Manager to join our dynamic team
  • Our ideal candidate will have extensive sales, and brand marketing experience, be able to analyze sales data and customer insights to propose marketing strategies, and have experience of driving demand for a business or category
  • You must be comfortable working both at the strategic level and diving deep into implementation as needed (including writing business requirements and analyzing data)
  • You will show hustle, take ownership and help foster a high-energy, high-performance culture
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
  • Experience with end to end product delivery
  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
  • Experience as a product manager or owner
  • Experience owning technology products
  • Experience with product cycles of 6+ months
  • Experience in product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology

What the job involves

  • In this highly visible role, you will develop and execute comprehensive brand and marketing strategies to drive awareness and sales for Echo products
  • You will be working closely with global and local marketing, site merchandising and advertising teams across Amazon to ensure your product category reaches its maximum potential, both on and off site
  • Develop and execute comprehensive Sales and Marketing strategies to drive brand awareness and product demand
  • Analyze market data, consumer insights, and sales performance to identify opportunities and inform demand generation decision-making
  • Manage the full marketing mix, collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to achieve sales objectives
  • Develop and report on key performance metrics to demonstrate brand impact to Echo sales
  • As a Sales and Marketing Manager, your days are fast-paced and filled with diverse responsibilities as you work to drive growth and increase visibility for your product portfolio
  • We operate with a Day 1 mindset, each and every day. There is no playbook for how smart speakers should or could be sold in any country
  • You will help Amazon Echo smart speakers make their way into as many customers' homes
  • You will develop strategies to promote our products, target new and different customer segments, and you will collaborate with global teams to ensure our products continue to exceed customer expectations

The company is present in numerous verticals, including cloud computing with Amazon Web Services, AI with its range of Alexa devices and a global marketplace more commonly referred to as 'the everything store'. Acquisitions include Ring, Twitch, Whole Foods Market, and IMDb.

More recently, Amazon has been focused on leading the "third wave in digital advertising". Many businesses are now shifting ad dollars to retailers, which before would have been spent with online media platforms. Amazon's seen great success in the space, with its revenue from advertising now higher than its Amazon Prime membership scheme, audiobooks and digital music combined.
