Who you are

  • Tool Proficiency: Able to confidently teach best practices while using Salesforce, Outreach, LeadIQ, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, or similar sales and CRM tools
  • Industry Interest: Strong understanding of the financial services industry and the alternative investment landscape
  • Communication Skills: Strong presentation, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
  • People Management and Coaching: Demonstrated ability in people management and coaching, with a track record of developing and motivating a high-performing team
  • Motivation and Organization: Self-motivated, dedicated, and highly organized, with a strong drive to meet and exceed team and individual quarterly quotas and metrics
  • Experience: Minimum 1 year of SDR management or people management experience required, ideally in the finance space. 1-2 years of SDR experience preferred

What the job involves

  • At Preqin, our Business Development department drives our growth, anchored by our Sales Development team at its core
  • As a Regional Team Lead within Preqin’s Global Sales Development Team, you will oversee and support a team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) who serve as the initial touchpoint for many of our new business prospects
  • This role holds significant prominence, directly shaping our business outcomes and providing opportunities for personal and career advancement
  • You will play a pivotal role in nurturing and developing early-stage professionals within our team, while also enhancing your own management and sales skills
  • Preqin offers ample opportunities for growth and achievement for individuals dedicated to delivering exceptional results
  • Leading a Regional SDR Team: Manage and mentor a regional team of Sales Development Representatives (SDRs) as part of the greater Global SDR Team, ensuring they effectively utilize leading-edge sales and marketing tools such as Salesforce, Outreach, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and LeadIQ
  • Collaboration with Account Executives: Work closely with Sales Leadership and Account Executives to align on prospecting strategies and ensure a seamless transition of qualified leads
  • Strategic Prospecting: Develop and implement strategic prospecting initiatives to penetrate key accounts and engage decision-makers
  • Performance Metrics: Drive team performance towards monthly outreach and demo KPIs while maintaining a high standard of customer experience for prospective clients
  • Player-Coach Role: Lead by example by actively prospecting and qualifying new business opportunities within the alternative investment space, alongside coaching and guiding the SDR team
