Who you are

  • This job is an excellent opportunity for a strategic writer with a strong POV who wants to make an impact on a growing brand
  • Proven expertise as a brand marketing copywriter, preferably in startups focused on apps, subscription models, or digital products
  • Flawless English writing skills, with a strong mastery of American English
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a keen eye for proofreading
  • Ability to translate creative direction from briefs into high-converting copy
  • Experience in content ideation and pitching new ideas to enhance brand marketing efforts
  • Eagerness to learn and take accountability for content design within our Product team (prior experience is a significant plus)
  • Capable of working on your own while happily actively contributing to collaborative team efforts
  • Self-motivated and adept at self-learning new skills
  • Valid UK or European working permit or passport (no sponsorship required)

What the job involves

  • Paired is looking for a Senior Brand Copywriter to take our brand voice to the next level
  • As our first in-house copywriter, you will own the Paired voice and be responsible for crafting clear, compelling and consistent communications
  • Reporting to the Head of Brand, this role will be primarily responsible for copy on all marketing campaigns
  • As we are still a small and nimble team, the Senior Copywriter will also work closely with the Product Team and take the lead on UX copywriting

  • Take ownership for on-brand copy that engages, educates and resonates with users, ensuring it always feels fresh
  • Develop compelling copy for brand marketing campaigns, performance ads, product feature releases, emails, blog posts and push notification copy
  • Write and optimize content for performance media, awareness, and evergreen ad copy, focusing on achieving specific performance marketing goals
  • Partner with the product team to support with UX copywriting, developing user-centered experiences and product descriptions that highlight key features, benefits, and specifications of our app
  • Ensure quality, clarity, and consistency in all content and copy across all channels and assets
  • Use insight and analytics to understand current performance and future opportunities
  • Stay updated with copy trends and be innovative to draw the audience’s attention

  • Task Assignment - Complete a task at home, which you will present to Caroline and Anna (Head of Product)
  • Team Interviews - The final step involves interviews with different team members you would be working with on a day-to-day basis

Our take

With 1 in 4 couple relationships being ‘distressed’ and the vast majority of these distressed couples not getting support (either because it’s taboo, unaffordable, or inconvenient) Paired brings relationship support to all couples via a fun, expert, and affordable mobile app. Paired is different to traditional couples therapy as it targets the full spectrum of couples who want help building intimacy, resolving conflict and improving communication.

Paired works with expert relationship academics and therapists. The company combines tips from these experts with fun daily questions, games and quizzes that partners answer together. It prompts partners to take the small, positive steps needed by couples to improve their relationship each day.

The founding team has a deep expertise in building top-grossing mobile apps such as Memrise and Peak, which should give them an edge in creating a widely adopted user-friendly app. An app targeted towards existing relationships stands out as an innovative concept compared to the numerous dating apps already on the market.

Paired is growing rapidly, recently passing more than 250,000 daily active users. Alongside this, it tripled its team size in 2022 and has won plaudits for its app, including the 2020 Google Play Award in the Personal Growth category and the Apple Store's App of the Day in January 2023.
