Who you are

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and 10+ years of work experience
  • ASC 740, International Tax, Transfer Pricing and VAT experience
  • Federal and multi-state income, franchise and sales and use tax experience
  • SaaS experience preferred
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and project management skills
  • Motivated self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast paced, dynamic environment
  • Hands-on leader with strong organizational skills and attention to detail

What the job involves

  • The Global Tax Director is a trusted advisor to executive management, providing guidance on tax consequences of business decisions
  • The Global Tax Director is responsible for federal, international, and state income tax returns including all related analysis and support
  • This position has oversight of the tax returns for the Company’s international subsidiaries
  • You will be responsible for property tax and sales tax functions as well as audits of federal and state income tax and state and local filings
  • You will also manage annual tax provision, and oversee transfer pricing and management fee arrangements
  • The Global Tax director acts as a liaison with operating management on tax issues and accounting staff on tax accounting issues and ensures that the appropriate internal controls are in place
  • Work closely with accounting, finance, legal and HR teams to support the overall finance objectives of the organization
  • Lead the annual tax reporting process, managing the collaboration with the accounting team as well as maintaining excellent relationships with external auditors and providers
  • Actively partner with foreign operations (Canada, Australia, Germany, UK, Singapore, and China) on local tax matters (income, tax, VAT, GST/HST, withholding tax, etc.)
  • Lead global projects, review tax opportunities, develop forecasts and optimize tax operations
  • Continue to develop and implement transfer pricing strategy, and monitor transfer pricing policies and related documentation
  • Support strategic tax planning, identify, recommend, and implement policies, procedures, and best practices
  • Direct the general practices and procedures relating to indirect tax compliance, including sales & use, property, excise, and VAT/GST
  • Provide well researched authoritative support for all company tax positions, supported by outside advisors
  • Oversee relationship with external tax advisors, including engagement and fees
  • Assist with M&A activity as well as corporate development transactions and other tax related projects such as 382 study, R&D Study and tax structure planning
  • Correspond and manage external investor relationship related to tax planning, including K-1 distribution, and taxable projections
