Who you are

  • Applicants must have a dedicated home office with high-speed internet; we will provide you with a laptop and all the tools you need to succeed!
  • All our communications are in English so the perfect candidate is fluent in English and can collaborate without issues in a multicultural and international environment
  • The perfect candidate has previous experience managing social media channels with thousands of followers, managing content distribution taking care of adapting the same piece of content to multiple platforms and audiences while also ensuring continuity and consistency in the communication
  • Previous experience in managing multiple social media channels (LinkedIn, X, YouTube, Instagram) for online brands with thousands of followers
  • Creative writing, ability to manipulate different media assets (images, videos, simple animations) and being able to work independently are all core skills for this role
  • Experience in writing and managing content on a daily basis using copy you write, media assets (video, images, animations) and any other digital assets you need to communicate. Experience in using Figma, Canva or any other digital media tool is a strong plus for this role
  • Fluent English is a must for this position
  • Understanding of digital marketing, SEO and content marketing and previous experience working with a team that has all these competencies
  • Intermediate knowledge and passion for the tech industry, including knowledge of cloud vendors and concepts/areas like DevOps, software development, machine learning and general data management
  • Strong passion for writing and a creative mindset to build messages, copy and communication that is effective and built for being bite-sized
  • Ability to interact, learn and work within online communities that are focused on specific topics or industries - e.g. you had to work with communities on Reddit, Twitch or X before and had to interact and communicate with audiences there

What the job involves

  • As Social Content and Community Coordinator, you will work on our North America Marketing Team and you will be responsible for the execution of our social media and content distribution strategy across multiple channels, including LinkedIn, Facebook, YouTube, and communities like Reddit, Twitch or internal ones like our Discord community
  • There will be some content that will need to be translated from British English to North American English
  • We will also need creative content development and designs / visualizations to support social media advertising and sales presentations
  • We are looking for an entrepreneurial person who is capable of prioritizing execution and pragmatism to communicate to our audience content, courses, and training solutions that we are constantly building, while also creating social media cadence that is capable of working in sync with the rest of the marketing organization
  • Build, schedule and execute publication of a variety of our content (from our library, from our marketing team, content team and external authors) on all our social media channels and communities. Your goal will be to build daily consistency, engagement with our audience and drive key metrics (engagement, visits, # of new followers and traffic)
  • Review new content and assets on a weekly basis and transform them into bite-sized assets to be published in different formats in all our social media channels. Think of a blog post, a course or something else that is ultimately used in multiple pieces across all our channels with a clear narrative and strategy
  • Work with our marketing team both internally and externally to promote specific campaigns, products or support our demand generation efforts
  • Build, maintain and own our internal community at QA for existing and future customers while promoting and supporting it with the help of our content, customer success and product team
  • Work side by side with our content marketing team to ensure that all our content is properly distributed and used across all our channels ensuring visibility and results compared to our goals

There is a boom for online training courses and so an opportunistic time for Cloud Academy. The importance of employee health and nurture is fundamental in companies nowadays so the demand for support like Cloud Academy is only rising. They’re a well established company now with a healthy roster of clients such as Regeneron and AXA, it’ll be interesting to see how they stay relevant as they face the challenges of the ever updating technology and need for human operators.
