Company mission

To help companies earn and keep the trust of their users, customers, partners, and prospects.

Role

Who you are

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar (or 3+ years as Data Analyst with at least 3 years as a business analyst)
  • You understand regression and other statistical methods, and can speak to examples where you’ve used it in the workplace (You know how and when to use linear regression vs logistic regression)
  • Confidence communicating with C-Level and others. You actively seek out and build helpful relationships. Ability to explain complex analyses or queries to non-technical people in understandable ways
  • Experience supporting a customer facing department like Customer Success, Sales, or Customer Support. Your recommendations will be tested by real people talking to real customers, not A/B testing
  • Fluency in writing analytical SQL, able to write complex queries with no assistance, and understand the difference between SQL that works and performant SQL
  • Desire to work in a fast, high-growth startup environment and thrive in both autonomy and collaboration
  • Comfort exploring data in analytical programming languages is a big plus (Python, R, SAS, etc.)
  • Proficient in data analysis and visualization in tools - we use Sigma, but Looker or Tableau experience easily transfers
  • You’re a Driver, you don’t just wait for projects and problems to come to you, but identify them and make recommendations without hesitation

What the job involves

  • The Senior Data Analyst will support Drata’s growing Business Analytics function - an integral part of our growing Business Operations team
  • You’ll leverage data to make truly impactful changes to the business, ensuring we are always identifying new ways to improve customer retention, drive revenue growth, and increase customer satisfaction
  • You’re obsessed with your internal customers, constantly finding new ways to better support them, providing novel insights on program performance and areas of improvement
  • This role will be a key member of our centralized Business Operations team, bringing a track record of proven success in a high-growth, fast-paced startup environment
  • Lead with data - Identify opportunities that drive greater customer retention, satisfaction, and revenue expansion through data exploration, stats, and advanced analytics
  • Be a driver - Actively seek out new opportunities to improve the business and partner with Go-To-Market revenue leaders and other business stakeholders to create and present impactful analytical insights
  • Deliver clear messages - Communicate findings clearly to a broad range of stakeholders including managers and executives across all departments
  • Chart the course - Be a leader for the organization in how to best use available data and make recommendations to gather new data or improve data collection
  • Forge partnerships - Partner closely with executive business stakeholders, Operations, and Data Engineers to define, build, and maintain data products that are both trustworthy and actionable

Otta's take

Theo Margolius

COO of Otta

Traditional manual compliance workflows are tedious, error-prone and extremely hard to scale, which presents special difficulties for rapidly growing companies in maintaining strong data security. Drata enables companies to manage compliance easily, by automatic monitoring and evidence collection, building a single picture of risk across the company.

The company has several competitors offering compliance automation solutions, including Vanta and Secureframe , but Drata is unique in automating the tasks themselves rather than generating notifications for teams to action. This approach has garnered Drata a client base of thousands of companies including bambooHR, Notion and Abnormal.

Drata has grown swiftly since its 2020 founding. Iconiq Growth and GGV Capital have led Drata's impressive funding rounds. It intends to use its influx of cash to invest heavily in research and development, and to roll out new features for auditors and startups.
