Who you are

  • 2+ years of technical pre-sales / Sales Engineering experience or equivalent experience - practitioners are appreciated as well
  • Proficiency in the English and German language
  • Based in commuting distance to Madrid
  • Proficiency in understanding concepts and technologies in DevOps, IT operations, security, cloud, microservices, containers, and scheduling platforms
  • Proficiency and/or knowledge of existing HashiCorp tools such as Vagrant, Packer, Terraform, Consul, Nomad, Vault and others
  • Experience with implementing software products or solutions to large and dynamic enterprise companies
  • Experience working well in a highly multifaceted / team environment that focuses on providing above-industry-standard customer service

What the job involves

  • Join us a customer-facing Solutions Engineer at HashiCorp, which is a phenomenal opportunity to work across the entire customer journey, supporting pipeline creation, technical win, onboarding, consumption and renewal!
  • In collaboration with our sales executives, you'll provide technical expertise, breaking complex topics into business value around Cloud, Security & DevOps solutions
  • In this specific role you will be working primarily with the Corporate segment, aligned with one or more of the Corporate Account Managers covering the DACH market
  • Lead as a domain expert for HashiCorp solutions within our Commercial segment, with a main focus on the DACH market, where you will collaborate with Financial Services, Healthcare, Web, Retail and other industry verticals in a fast paced high-growth role
  • Lead pre-sales engineering activities including technical discovery, technical value proposition, architectural mentorship, sales campaign support and ongoing client relationships
  • Ability to provide expert mentorship on Development Operations (DevOps) concepts with strong abilities in infrastructure architecture, cloud, IT operations, security, and development technologies and processes
  • Establish and maintain a deep understanding of the overall HashiCorp technology portfolio and the competitive landscape
  • Help foster an environment for ongoing strategic customer success
  • Regularly contribute to post-sales activities such as cadence calls, supervise usage and adoption, and assist removing blockers
  • Seek to drive expansion in current product lines as well as adoption of additional product lines
  • Work closely with key client executive decision makers on product evaluations and proof of concepts to ensure the solutions/products meets client objectives
  • Actively assist other Sales teams in pre-sales engineering responsibilities
